The Wild Kingdom

Can church be a blast? You bet it can! In fact, you may find that your child can’t wait to come to the Wild Kingdom to sing, to learn, and to interact with other children. We want your child’s time in the WK to be the best hour of their week!

In the Wild Kingdom, you’ll find a safe environment where your child can enjoy learning about God while building positive, loving relationships. We’ll help you establish a strong spiritual foundation for your child that will last a lifetime.

The Road

The Road is "Under Construction" for the months of May and July. We plan to launch a new ministry for 5th and 6th graders in the fall of 2012! Please check back soon for more information.

*********************

This is an exciting ministry for 5th and 6th graders only. It’s an opportunity for preteens to get together during the week, learn more about God, and get to know each other better. The road is held on Tuesday nights, every other month. (See schedule below.)

  • Tuesdays in January, March, May, July, September, and November
  • 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
  • MC102
May 30 // WK 101

WK 101 is designed to answer the questions, "Why should we come to church? What is salvation? Why get baptized? What is communion?" This class is intended for 5th and 6th graders and their parents to attend together and is a prerequisite if your Wild Kingdom-aged child wishes to participate in an IHC baptism. (Our next baptism will be held on Sunday, June 10 and sign-ups will be taken at WK 101.) Even if you child is not ready for baptism just yet, this is a great class for kids and parents to take together and learn some of the basics of Christianity. Register here.

Contact Shelley Sousa via email or at 909.393.1577 ext. 105 with any questions.

  • Wednesday, May 30
  • 6 - 8:30 p.m.
  • Building B, room 101/102

June 24 - 29 // The Village Summer Camp

The Village (3rd & 4th graders)

GUESS WHO? Then Jesus asked His disciples, "Who do you say that I am?"
Throughout the week of summer camp, we'll engage our imaginations as we uncover clues and reveal WHO Jesus is in the eyes of a Pharisee, a Gentile, one of His own disciples, and even who He is in the eyes of an elementary school-age child. The Village is an interactive camp experience where your child will experience Christ in the great outdoors.

The Camping Experience Still Matters!
Do you remember the first time you were sung to sleep by crickets or awakened by the sun kissing your face? As children, simplicity was a faithful friend. We boldly took the time to dream, to wonder, and to wander. Our children need those moments now.

Cost includes meals, lodging, bus transportation, our WK summer T-shirt, God’s Word, and loads of fun! Your child can experience a confidence course, archery, swimming, fishing, climbing trees, a giant swing, blobbing, a water slide, hiking, and more. Spaces are limited, so don’t delay. $150 nonrefundable deposit due upon registration. Register here!

June 24 - 29 // Adventure Mountain Summer Camp

Adventure Mountain (5th & 6th graders)

Spud * le * plunk; verb
1. The adventure of interacting with creativity, imagination, and reality

Let's Go Spuddleplunking!
Come spuddleplunking at Adventure Mountain this sumer to answer Jesus' question of "Who do you say that I am?" As we embark on an adventure interacting in creativity, imagination, and reality, we will find out who we say Jesus is by what we say and do.

...commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
