Disaster Relief – Florida 2019
The devastation of Hurricane Michael ravaged the community of Callaway, Florida in October 2018. Whole neighborhoods were hit by rain, fallen trees, high winds, and deadly debris. For the survivors picking up the remains of their homes and belongings, we’ve partnered with Next Step Storm and Callaway Community Church to respond to the great need at hand.
As part of this team, you will assist in cleaning up yards and homes and undertake construction tasks. But above all, you will pray with, and speak hope to, the affected residents. By cleaning yards, swinging hammers, playing with kids, and more, there’s a place and purpose for you and your family on this short-term outreach!
Trip cost is $800 (covers airfare, food, lodging, van rental, and cleaning/building materials), with a $200 deposit to hold your spot. Anyone 16 and up is welcome; younger team members age 6-15 will need a parent present.
