Special Needs

This unique program matches trained volunteers with children who have special needs so they may experience the love of Jesus while parents/guardians attend service, knowing that their children are being well cared for. Special needs children are intentionally placed with a “buddy”–the same volunteer every week–so that they are given the opportunity to build a strong, lasting relationship. Our buddies work closely with a trained coach and division leader, and alongside the family to provide a safe, fun time at IHC Kids.

If possible, we wish to include your child in every aspect of their age-appropriate class. However, if your child’s situation is such that they are unable to benefit from a traditional Sunday school classroom, they may attend the Special Needs Hub. The Hub classroom provides each child the opportunity to participate at their ability level.
