Q&A
Sunday, June 7

*Note to leaders: This guide is designed to assist you and your group while growing in your relationship with Jesus together. As you prepare each week, feel free to prioritize questions or sections in this study guide, based on your group dynamic and needs.

MAIN POINT

Faith in God allows believers to have questions and seek answers for the reason they believe.

OPEN UP

Which of the questions that Josh addressed in this message this week resonated with you the most? Why?

FAITH IS NOT BLIND

As a group read Hebrews 11:1 in several different translations. NIV, NKJV, NASB, ESV, NLV, GNT, LEB, and NLT.

Knowing that each version is a translation from the original language used in the Bible; what benefit can we gather from reading several translations?

How do the different Bible translations help formulate your understanding of “faith”?

From the explanation of faith described in this verse; can your faith be strengthened or increased? If so, how? Or why not?

Have someone read John 14:6-11, Romans 10:17, and Proverbs 14:15

It is okay to have doubts, everyone does. How have you seen faith supported by evidence bring answers to doubts? How has God’s truth provided your faith confidence?

What have you found to be successful for strengthening your faith during times of doubt?

QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Have someone read Colossians 4:5-6.

How does your faith and actions directly influence others in how they know and understand Christ? How can we better direct others toward the hope and love of God?

Identify which part of these verses you feel you struggle with the most. How would your interactions with others be changed if you were able to strengthen and improve that specific area?

Have someone read  1 Peter 3:15.

We are not expected to have an answer to every question that we could ever be asked. We are expected to have an answer for the hope that we have in Christ. How would you explain your faith in Jesus to someone else?

Gentleness and respect. How does the way we share influence what we share? How does our method contribute to the response of others? What method(s) have you observed to be helpful and beneficial to the hearers?

PRAYER

Thank you God for allowing us to have questions. Thank you that You do not expect blind faith from us but have provided answers and evidence for what we believe. Help us be able to demonstrate the reasons we have hope and faith in You to those around us. Help us to show others Your love and grace. Amen!
